Supporters Club committee 2026 – nominations open now!

Nominations are now open for the Supporters Club committee 2026. As we do every year, we’re holding elections for each of the seven positions on our committee, so if you want to get involved, read on to find out how.

We have seven committee positions available for nominations, which are as follows:

Chair – The Chair oversees the running of the Supporters Club, chairs our regular meetings, and represents the views of the Supporters Club to the club’s board and executives.

Vice-Chair – The Vice-Chair supports the Chair in the day-to-day running of the Supporters Club, stands in for the Chair when he/she isn’t available, and joins the chair at meetings with the club.

Treasurer – The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the Supporters Club finances, managing the bank accounts, preparing the annual accounts and overseeing the Pan For Gold draw.

Secretary – The Secretary is charged with creating the agenda and taking the minutes for Supporters Club meetings, as well as other administrative duties as they arise.

Communications Manager – The Communications Manager is responsible for administering the Supporters Club website, email and social media communications.

Membership Secretary – The Membership Secretary is in charge of administering and monitoring the club’s membership, as well as reporting on the activities of our members on a regular basis.

Fundraising Manager – The Fundraising Manager is responsible for organising and co-ordinating the Supporters Club’s fundraising activities throughout the year.

If all of the above sounds onerous and formal, please don’t believe it so. While we of course take our responsibilities seriously, everyone at the Supporters Club pitches in, so just because you’re nominally in charge of, say, fundraising, it doesn’t mean the entire responsibility falls on your shoulders. Aside from the committee, we have a core group of Supporters Club volunteers who are willing to offer support. None of the roles would (on average) take more than a few hours’ commitment each week.

If you were interested in taking on a role and wanted to discuss it further with current Supporters Club committee members, feel free to drop us an email here. We would particularly welcome nominations from female applicants.

Timetable and procedure for nominations/elections

Nominations are open now for the seven roles outlined above. If you wish to put yourself forward for a role, send an email to elections@thefsa.org.uk stating which role(s) you’re interested in standing for, together with an election statement of no more than 250 words for each role you’re applying for, which is your chance to state your case for election to the Supporters Club committee.

Those wishing to apply or vote in the elections must have been registered Supporters Club members before nominations opened on Monday 5th January 2026.

Nominations close at 11:59pm on Friday 16th January. Existing committee members may re-stand for election.

If no more than one candidate stands for a position, that candidate will be elected to the Supporters Club committee, subject to an affirmative vote at the AGM.

If more than one candidate applies for a position, an election of the Supporters Club membership will take place, with online voting opening at 9am on Monday 19th January and closing at 5pm on Thursday 22nd January, the day of the AGM. Members will be sent each candidate’s election statement to help them decide how to vote. No other hustings or canvassing is permitted.

Supporters Club members will also be able to vote in person at the AGM, provided they have not voted previously online. The results of the election will be declared on the evening of the AGM (venue to be confirmed.)

Our elections are overseen by an independent officer from the Football Supporters Association. Any questions or complaints about our election procedures should be sent to elections@thefsa.org.uk.
