Pip started with Lewes around 1976 when he was 18 years old. He was playing for Peacehaven 1st team when he was 16-17. He went on to play around 650 games and scored 360 goals, and notably scored four goals in several games but disappointedly he said never reached five.

He was our first ever contract player which stopped him playing for Sussex, so he only played around five games for the county having been on contract for several seasons.

He played three senior Cup finals, losing two, and was in the team in 1985 that beat Bognor breaking their long term run in winning this competition.

Along with brother Terry, they were the only Sussex players picked for an England semi-Pro regional team that beat the Combined Services in Portsmouth and Pip Scored.

He played a big part in our promotion winning side, where we finished runners up to Billericay and were promoted to Division 1.
