Terry Parris Honoured for 50 years of service to football

Club president and legend Terry Parris has been honoured by the Sussex FA for his 50 years of service to the game.

Terry, who has served the club as player, manager and chair of the board, as well as serving as vice chair of the Supporters Club, began his playing career with the Rooks in the 1970s and has been synonymous with the club ever since.

He received his award in a ceremony held by the Sussex FA at Brighton & Hove Albion’s American Express Stadium last night, accompanied by his family, including the club’s all-time top scorer Pip Parris.

A letter written to Terry from FA chief executive Mark Bellingham noted that Terry’s “long and indebted service to the wonderful game has been achieved most notably with your roles from player with the Rooks, the role as chair of Lewes FC, and have been involved in eight Senior Cup Finals.”

Here at the Supporters Club, we’re delighted that Terry’s half-century of service has been recognised by the FA and send our enormous gratitude and love to Terry for everything he’s done for the club and the Supporters Club.
